Camino del Norte · Stage 1 of 36
The first stage of the Norte climbs from Irún to the sanctuary of Guadalupe and runs along Mount Jaizkibel with the sea at your feet. You drop to Pasai Donibane, cross the harbour mouth in a small launch and reach San Sebastián over Mount Ulía.

Tips
On Jaizkibel there are no fountains or bars until Pasaia.
It costs just over a euro and runs all day. Carry coins.
San Sebastián’s Old Town is the best place for dinner from bar to bar.
