Tips
A pilgrim wrongly accused was saved by a roast rooster that crowed. It is the same story as in Santo Domingo de la Calzada.
If you arrive on a Thursday, the Barcelos market is one of the biggest in Portugal.
Its Romanesque church is a gem and the albergue is highly recommended.
