The stage moves a little away from the sea through pine woods and hamlets, passes Castelo do Neiva and reaches Viana do Castelo crossing the Lima on a bridge designed by Eiffel’s workshop. Above it, the basilica of Santa Luzia.

Tips
Go up by funicular or on foot. The views over the mouth of the Lima are among the best on the Camino.
Viana has plenty of services and a lovely centre.
