The penultimate stage is short and quiet, through eucalyptus and oak woods, meadows and small hamlets. Many pilgrims use it to arrive in Santiago well rested the next day.

The route

You cross the N-547 several times through tunnels and crossings. Salceda and Santa Irene have quiet albergues.
A last stretch through the woods to O Pedrouzo, which lies just off the Camino.
Tips
O Pedrouzo has plenty of beds. If you prefer somewhere quieter, Santa Irene and A Rúa are a few kilometres earlier.
From O Pedrouzo it is about 19 km to Santiago. Leave early and you will arrive in time for the midday pilgrim mass.
O Pedrouzo lies a little off the Camino: follow the signs into and out of town.
