You leave La Rioja and enter the province of Burgos. Grañón and its parish albergue inside the church, Redecilla with its Romanesque baptismal font and a string of small villages beside the road all the way to Belorado.

No big climbs. Much of the way is a dirt path running parallel to the national road.

The route
Open fields and a gentle climb to Grañón, on top of a hill.
You enter Castilla y León and pass Redecilla del Camino. From here the path follows the N-120.
Small villages every few kilometres and stretches beside the road to Belorado, at the foot of a hill with cave houses.
Tips
Its parish albergue runs on donations, with a shared dinner and mats on the floor. Many pilgrims remember it as their best night.
The path runs right next to the N-120. Stay on it and always cross at the marked points.
The next stage crosses the Montes de Oca, with few services.
